Multiple Flex Desks

Similarly to Single Flex Desks, these are multiple individual flex desks in an office space. Desks of this type are the most common office workplaces. These desks include a proper (sit/stand) desk, office chair, and a monitor (optional).
We advise to monitor this type of workplace because the data can be used to determine whether this type of workspace is frequently used or not.
We advise to use the following sensor for this workspace type:
- iotspot Desk sensor - This sensor is able to measure single desk occupancy in the most effective manner.
High Table
Not recommended
These are single seats at a high table or the high table as a meeting table. Workplaces of this type are placed in the open office space and might be surrounded by whiteboards / plants.
We DO NOT advise to monitor this because this type of furniture does not belong to the standard office furniture. Monitoring this type can have one of the following challenges that could influence the results negatively:
- Since it is not an official single desk, the chair can be moved around and hereby positioned out of range of the desk sensor.
- It is positioned in an open space where the movement of people around the furniture can create unwanted sensor triggers in case of room sensors.
Lastly, we do not advise to measure all furniture in the office to provide a more simplistic and insightful result that in most cases is more worthwhile.
